Fitur, the International Tourism Trade Fair, celebrates its 30th anniversary from 20 to 24 January 2010.
Fitur is a meeting point for tourism professionals in which they can establish lines of action, strategies and business alliances to energize and consolidate the tourism business and adapt to the changing demands of the market. Tourism promotion agencies, operators, hotels, travel agencies, consultancies and experts in international tourism management and development will all meet in Madrid for Fitur.
At the last edition, 12,312 exhibiting companies from 170 countries/regions, 136,177 professional participants and 8470 journalists worked during Fitur to transform leisure into business and business into development for those destinations that welcome millions of tourists travelling throughout the different continents.
The 2010 Commonwealth Games, popularly known as Friendly Games, are scheduled to be held in New Delhi, India between 3 October and 14 October 2010. This international event will considerably foster international tourism in India. These games are organized by the Common Wealth Federation, a union of around 70 countries of the entire world, which used to be British colonies. The Commonwealth Games is one of the largest multi-sport events in the world, which is held every four years. This will be the largest event hold in India since the Asian Games in 1951 and 1982.
